Making a Difference

Bethany places top priority on developing relationships with each other and with Jesus. Our Sunday Morning worship service, where we meet as a congregation fosters relationship development and spiritual growth. This also occurs in smaller settings as we gather in adult small groups, youth groups, and kids groups.

Being a Christian involves action. Bethany is committed to being relevant to our local community. We understand the needs of people and make a difference through our local care ministry. We actively engage in missions; from the Central Wisconsin area to the Philippines and Ukraine.

Sunday Mornings at Bethany

Contemplative Worship every Sunday, 8:30 am

Contemporary Worship every Sunday, 10:00 am

Whether you're new to the area, looking for something different or you haven't been to church in a long time, going to a new church will have a lot of unknowns. When you come to Bethany you will be met with a friendly handshake and a warm smile. Our church and our hearts are open to all who come.

Have kids? Feel free to bring them into the worship service or drop them off at the nursery (ages 0-3), which is staffed by attentive Bethany caregivers. Our children from 3 yrs to 5th grade attend the worship service for the first 15 minutes, then head off to KidVenture to learn about God. Nursery and KidVenture are available durning the second service only.

What to wear? As you enter the worship center you will see people dressed in everything from suits and dress clothes to jeans and casual dress. Wear what makes you comfortable and just come enjoy the service.

What's the worship like? You can expect a service that blends both traditional and contemporary worship music with a bible-based message that is relevant to the world in which we live.

What about after the service? We would love to have you join us in the Connection Café for a great cup of coffee and a pastry – we’ll buy!

KidVenture is a place where children ages 4 years to 5th grade can learn about God through engaging Bible stories, hands-on activities, and lively music. Children will be with their parents for the first 10-15 minutes of the worship service before coming to KidVenture. (Available only during the second service.)

Our KidVenture instructors have a special heart for kids and for sharing the message of Jesus. We believe each child is uniquely created by God, and we desire to join with parents to reinforce this in each of their children’s lives. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14).

Small Groups

Bethany places a top priority on relationship development and spiritual growth. Small group gatherings provide a comfortable setting for both in a variety of formats.

  • Focus Groups are topic or personal interest based small groups that focus on a Bible study series, socializing, or common life experiences.
  • Home Groups are slightly larger groups that include the whole family.

We also have Coaching and Training opportunities. Contact the Church Office for more details about current offerings.

4.12 Youth Ministry

Bethany’s youth ministry (for grades 6-12) is guided by scripture. 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in faith and in purity.”

Activities and lessons apply to real life and help our teens develop strong relationships with mentors, other youth, kids that they may serve, and with our Savior.

ER (Emergency Rescue) - Wednesdays, 6:00 PM

“Jesus said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but those who are ill. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.’”  - Mark 2:17

ER is a place where the healthy can minister to their peers and the sick and lost can find healing and salvation.

Soul U is a blend of discipleship opportunities, where youth can be mentored by adults or they can play a leadership role in discipling children.

We love kids at Bethany and believe a strong Christian foundation is important in the development of our children.

Our dedicated volunteers offer a fun, safe environment where children can learn and grow together.

Our Nursery is staffed during our second church service for infants through 3 years of age.

KidVenture (see above) is a children’s church program conducted during the service for children ages 4 through 5th grade.

On Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM during the school year, join us for PathFinders.

PathFinders, for children ages 3 through 5th grade, is an exciting and engaging program that includes activities, music, and great lessons!

All programs wrap up by 8:00

Local Care

For Bethany to be the hands, heart, and feet of Christ we must identify and serve the practical needs of people inside and outside of the church so people may be drawn to Christ.

Helps Ministry: Meets the practical needs of people both inside and outside of the Bethany family by providing meals, transportation, help with projects, gas cards, and other practical needs all with volunteers from Bethany.

Outreach Events: We look for opportunities to share the Gospel with people through activities such as making Gospel Bracelets, practical projects, literature and conversation with the public about Christ.

Community Based Ministries: We support and provide opportunities to volunteer for ministries in our community such as homeless shelters, food and clothing pantries, Angel Tree Ministry, Love Packages book drive, and community meals during the holidays.

The Bethany mission field is active internationally but we also consider central Wisconsin an important locale for missions work. We identify and fulfill needs outside of our Bethany family through prayer, financial support, and personal involvement.

Sumy, Ukraine has been the location of our sister church since 2001. Committed to personal as well as financial support, our members have visited the Sumy church many times. We helped them complete their new church building, among other things.

We are active in supporting a missionary family who planted a church in the Philippines, as well as an orphanage there. We have sent youth mission teams to visit them and are planning another trip in the near future.
